5 Things to Know Today: December 18, 2012

The news in and around Hingham today.

 

1. Today will be cloudy with a high near 52 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.  There is a 70 percent chance of showers.

2. The annual Hingham High School Winter Orchestra Concert will be at 7 p.m. tonight in the HHS auditorium.  Featured pieces include the Corelli Christmas Concerto and selections from Benjamin Britten's Simple Symphony. This concert will feature solos by Terence Casey, Julia Maisto, Andrew Bolze and Cam Baker. Admission is free.

3. There will be a free trial of the Hingham Recreation Center’s new indoor plaground.  Children ages 5 and younger are encouraged to test out the new playground at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow, December 19.

4. The Board of Selectmen will meet today at 9 a.m.

5. The Advisory Committee will meet today at  7 p.m.
