5 Things to Know Today: February 25, 2013

The news in and around Hingham today.

 

1. Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 41 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Hundreds of people who live at Linden Ponds  raised $6,000 for the Massachusetts Hospital School by attending a performance of “I Do! I Do!” presented by Showstoppers at Linden Ponds.

3. Jessica R. Nevins of Hingham earned Dean's List honors at Saint Joseph's University for the Fall 2012 semester, Nevins is majoring in Food Marketing at the University. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above, a B or greater in all their classes, and complete at least 15 credits to earn Dean's List status for a semester.

4. Sara Shawles of Hingham a member of the class of 2013 at Lasell College , Newton MA has been named to the 2012 fall semester Dean's List.

5. Emerson College student Louis Roe of Hingham, a Writing, Lit and Publishing major, has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester. The criterion to make Emerson's Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.
