Canton-Based Dunkin Donuts Eyes 'Best Coffee in America' Trademark
Does Dunkin offer the best cup of joe in the country?
Canton-based Dunkin Donuts is looking to have the best coffee in America. But it's not just an ideal for the coffee chain.
Dunkin Donuts has applied for the actual trademark of "Best Coffee in America" with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, according to Boston.com, which reported that the company has sought more than 100 trademarks for specific products like "Coffee Coolatta".
However, Starbucks continues to remain the top fast-food coffee spot, according to Boston.com, while McDonald's holds second-place for the destination coffee drinkers prefer most.
Companies that try to register trademarks in common phrases or images commonly state that they have acquired secondary meanings associated with the product or service the company sells, according to The Huffington Post.

I think McDonald's coffee is much better than Dunkin Donuts coffee. Dunkins often tastes burnt or bitter.

Don't care for DD coffee AT ALL! Bitter taste, like it's been sitting all day. I much prefer Cumberland Farms. Better taste for a 1/3 of the price!

DD used to be good when it was perked, now its just plain bad. One has to add all the other junk to it to have flavor. Honey Dew is good and I agree with Cumbie's too. But to be labled with "Best Coffee in America" says that Americans have no taste ! Just because you have countless athletes on your commercials saying its the best, does not make one BELIEVE its the best.
