Rainy Wednesday

Today will be rainy and foggy according to the National Weather Service.  Expect up to two inches of rain.  The rain should hold off after 9 p.m.

 High School Athletics

 If the rain holds off, the girls varsity team will match up against Fontbonne Academy at 3:30 p.m. at President’s Golf Course in Milton.

The Notre Dame tennis team will also play at home against Fontbonne Academy at 3:45 p.m.

 Candidates Night

 Tonight from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. the League of Women Voters of Hingham presents its annual Candidates Night at the . Voters have the opportunity to hear candidates for contested races and answer questions concerning current issues. Candidates for uncontested offices may deliver a prepared speech. The public is invited.

 Jazz Concert Tonight

There is a History of Jazz concert tonight from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m at auditorium.  Several of the South Shore’s jazz musicians will perform together for one night. Local music historian Mark DeLorenzo will narrate a vibrant account of jazz’s development through the 20th Century. The  DeLorenzo-Wauchope Jazz Ensemble, led by trombonist and former Hingham High School band director Doug Wauchope,  will also play some of the century’s most memorable music from Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington to Miles Davis and Buddy Rich.

 Live Music at the Snug
