Former Wahlburgers Business Partner Files Countersuit
Months after he was sued by Wahlburgers, Edward St. Croix of Hull, who once worked with the Wahlbergs, has filed a countersuit.
A former of business partner of Hingham Chef Paul Wahlberg has filed a lawsuit claiming wrong doing by the Wahlberg family and accusing them of slander.
Edward St. Croix of Hull, who once worked with the Wahlbergs as a business partner of their two Hingham restaurants, is accusing Chef Wahlberg of spending money from a joint-management account to pay for his wife’s bills and says the Hingham chef gave his wife a salary although she did no work, according to an article on Boston.com
St. Croix is also accusing Chef Wahlberg of paying for private jet for his brother Mark Wahlberg and alleges that Chef Wahlberg and the new CEO Rick Vanzura, had no right to remove St. Croix from a management position, the Globe article reported.
The new countersuit comes just months after Wahlburgers sued St. Croix for “improper conduct.” That suit, filed Oct. 25 in Suffolk County Superior Court, alleges that St. Croix, did an “abysmal” job, “failed to meet even the most basic duties as business manager.”
Walburgers is claiming St. Croix was “incompetent and unqualified” to handle issues related to bookkeeping, obtaining licenses and permits, and raising capital.
The suit also claims St. Croix obtained investments in a “haphazard fashion” and diverted some of the money to another restaurant he was hoping to open.
According to the Globe, St. Croix denied the allegations.
In June, Wahlburgers appointed Vanzura, a Hingham resident, as their new CEO.

That's inappropriate and completely untrue. I work for Wahlburgers and have never heard of or noticed anything that validates your statement.
