Friends of the Homeless Needs Help During the Holidays
Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore needs volunteers to wrap gifts.
Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore is currently collecting donations and looking for residents to help wrap gifts.
The Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore, located on 8 Driftway in North Weymouth, has sponsored Christmas gifts for nearly 250 families in shelters and motels.
Starting on Dec. 6 and running through Dec 20, residents can sponsor a family or donate gift items for anyone from infants through adults. The Shelter said they are in most need of gifts for older teen boys and men.
The South Shore shelter is also looking for volunteers to sort, wrap and deliver gifts at the North Street Community Chapel at 11 Thaxter Street in Hingham. Anyone interested should call 781-659-7741.
