Hingham Bank Looks to Open in Nantucket
One Hingham bank may open another location in Nantucket.
The Hingham Institution for Savings may soon open their first location on Nantucket.
The bank plans to buy this split-storefront building at 35 Main Street, renovate the space and reopen as a full-service bank branch by early summer 2013, according to the Nantucket Inquirer and Mirror.
This will be the fourth bank to open on the island. Hingham Savings currently has 10 branches across the South Shore and in Boston’s South End and Beacon Hill.
