Hingham Man Hurt in Boston Marathon Explosion

A Hingham man was injured in Monday's explosion.

A 24-year-old Hingham man was hurt in Monday’s Boston Marathon attack.

J.P. Craven of Hingham was at the finish line to watch his 54-year-old father, Joseph Craven finish the race when he was struck by the explosion, according to Boston.com.

The Hingham victim was taken to Boston Medical Center with burns and head trauma, and part of his ear was taken off in the blast, the Globe reported.

Boston Medical Center spokesperson Gina Orlando said his condition had improved to serious from critical by Tuesday afternoon.
