Weymouth resident Christina Mazzarella is bringing children’s dreams to life all across the South Shore.
The 24 year-old Hamilton Primary School teacher and her mother Ann Mazzarella, a Hingham nanny, have started their own business where their employees dress as princesses and pirates and host children’s birthday parties.
Like a scene right out of your favorite Disney movie, Sugar and Spice Princess and Pirate Parties could transform your living room into a princess ball with visits from Cinderella, Jasmine, Snow White, Belle, Aurora or Repunzel. They will take your party under the sea with a visit from Ariel or bring swords and crocodiles and host your very own pirate adventure.
“We travel to the client’s house and we plan and host a birthday party around the children’s interest,” Mazzarella said. “Whatever Disney character that they’re interested in, we will dress up like that princess."
Sugar and Spice Princess and Pirate Parties will not only bring real life Disney characters to your party, but they will even print out the invitations, bring the balloons, provide the goody bags, nail painting, crafts, cupcake decorating, fashion shows and more.
Each party is 1 to 1 ½ hours long and will include age-appropriate activities that are designed to ignite the creativity and imaginative play of children.
“We enrich and nurture their creative minds, while bringing 'make-believe' to life,” Mazzarella posted on the company's website. “Just sit back and take pictures and leave all of the planning to us as we bring your child’s dreams to life.”
All employees who work for Sugar and Spice Princess and Pirate Parties are daycare certified with a background in childcare education.
Mazzarella and her mom started the business back in January and have already hosted many parties across the South Shore by spreading word on Facebook and on flyers posted in local libraries.
