Hingham Police Charge Woman With Using Multiple Identities

Police arrested a Hingham woman with at least two Massachusetts drivers licenses, at least seven different names, and multiple birth dates. She was registered to vote in Hingham under two names.

A woman is being held on bail after Hingham police arrested her for allegedly using several false identities.

Hingham police are charging the woman who they identified as Wanpen Florentine, age 62,  of  11 Crooked Meadow Lane with five felonies: two counts of forgery/misuse of RMV documents, false voter registration, uttering a false instrument, obstruction of justice and one misdemeanor charge of furnishing false name/social security number after arrest.

Hingham Police said Wanpen Florentin had obtained at least two Massachusetts drivers licenses with several different names and birth dates and registered to vote in Hingham under two names.

At the time of her arrest, Florentine identified herself as Penny Collins.

Police said her aliases also used included Penny Siridee, Wanpen Collins, Laciga Rachaisri, Wanpen S.J. Collins and Hieng Kridaratikon. Her two addresses used are 11 Crooked Meadow Lane and 23 Ridgewood Crossing.

Police said the investigation began on Feb. 1 when Hingham officer Justin Burns and Sgt. David Jones were dispatched to a civil landlord tenant dispute at Ridgewood Crossing. The Hingham officers were advised that the landlord had been using several identities.

Last Thursday, Hingham Officers accompanied by agents from the Office of Inspector General’s Office arrested Florentine at her home on  Crooked Meadow Lane.

She was arraigned last Friday at under the name Penny Collins and ordered held without bail.

Her fingerprints were matched through the FBI database and identified her as Wanpen Florentine, age 62.  Her bail was later reduced to $125,000.

She is currently held being held at the Massachusetts Correctional Institute in Framingham.

On Monday, Hingham Officers obtained and executed a search warrant of her home and recovered additional pieces of evidence including additional Ma. driver’s licenses and credit cards.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.

Several agencies are assisting in this investigation including the FBI, ICE, Office of the Inspector General/Social Security Administration, State Police from the RMV Driver Control Unit and agents from the MA ABCC.

Police noted that Florentine is also listed as the manager on the all-alcoholic license as Wanpen S. J. Collins at at 6 Crow Point Lane. Police said the Town of Hingham is working with the ABCC seeking to revoke the license. The establishment is still open.
