Hingham Community to Collect Groceries With Annual Food Drive
Linden Ponds plans to raise hundreds of bags of food for those in need on the South Shore.
More than 100 people who live and work at Linden Ponds will participate in the annual Turkey Trot at the Hingham campus on Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
A large turkey will lead the walkers around the campus and people who live and work at Linden Ponds will present the Hingham Food Pantry with boxes of food.
The staff and residents at Linden Ponds will donate hundreds of bags of groceries which will be helping families from across the South Shore during this holiday season.
“Our annual Turkey Trot is always a big success,” said Barbara Leary, Fitness Specialist, Linden Ponds. “Food drive bins are out in both clubhouses and both people who live and work here can donate. Linden Ponds and the Hingham/Hull Food Pantry have a great relationship and we enjoy helping them every year.”
Residents and employees of Linden Ponds can sign up for the Turkey Trot and walk a mile around the campus. There are also Raffle Prizes, a Finish Line Festival, Guess the Turkey, and Gobble Off Contest at the Turkey Trot.
