NOAA Administrator Jane Lubchenco, has helped commercial ocean wind projects that could lead to the creation of hundreds of wind energy jobs. But at what expense ?

The creation of 3000 square miles ocean wind turbines just south of New Bedford has threatened the jobs of hundreds of fishermen in New Bedford .On October 20,2010 Gov Patrick said: "Well, by God, the city of New Bedford is going to be known again as the city that lights the world."

The ocean leases on commercial wind turbines are in prime fishing grounds. Many local fishermen feel the federal government has a priority of commercial wind over the fishing industry .

Since 2009 the federal government has made many rules against the fishing industy.
