Carpenter, 26, of 7 North Main St., Carver, charged Dec. 11, 2008; Alexander D. Ciamataro, 25, of 64 Williams St., Rockland, charged April 8, 2010; Richard Duarte, 44, of 104 Burkside Ave., Brockton charged April 14, 2009; Amilcar Evora, 31, of 814 North Montello St., Brockton, charged March 3, 2009.
Rockland Man Faces Charge of Shoplifting
Derek J. Furkart, 40, of 63 Webster St., Apt. 2, Rockland pleaded guilty shoplifting over $100 by asportation in Hingham District Court and was sentenced to 18 months in the Plymouth County House of Correction, with 44 days credit for time served. The charge stems from a Aug. 16 incident in Hingham at 2:26 p.m. when police were dispatched to to Kohl's department store, 100 Derby St., in response to a report of a shoplifter being detained by loss prevention. According to the police report, Furkart took a video camera by removing the wrapping, then wrapped the camera inside another item
