Police Log: Ducklings in Danger, Unwanted Protesters, OUI Arrest

The following information is from the Hingham Police Log from Tuesday, May 29. The following arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, May 29:

At 10:53 a.m. a caller reported a duck and ducklings on the side of the road near the Hingham Lobster Pound on Route 3A.  The caller feared that the ducks were in danger of getting hit by a vehicle and Animal Control was contacted.

At 2:30 p.m. CVS on South Street reported a group of people outside the store protesting against the Obama administration. After numerous calls, police said solicitors were within their rights.

At 4:06 p.m. a caller reported a contractor was shocked while working on a home on Bucket Mill Lane. Wires from the home were also sparking.

At 8:35 p.m. police arrested Elizabeth McQuade, age 52 of Cohasset on Rockland Street for operating under the influence of alcohol.
