Police Log: Rocks Damage Vehicle, Home in Hingham Neighborhood
The following excerpts are from the Hingham police log from Friday, November 9 to Saturday, November 10. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, November 9:
At 6:28 a.m. a caller on School Street reported rocks were thrown at a car window.
At 10:13 a.m. a caller on Olmsted Drive reported a possible attempted house break-in. The caller reported someone had tampered with the home’s screen.
At 11:45 a.m. a caller on School Street reported a rock was thrown through a first floor living room window.
At 2:57 p.m. a caller on Tuckers Lane reported a bird was in a house.
At 3:57 p.m. a caller on South Street reported skateboarders leaving trash around the street.
Saturday, November 10:
At 6:52 a.m. police arrested James Buckley, age 52 of Hull for driving under the influence of alcohol on Otis Street near the Bathing Beach. The arrest was his second offense.
At 8:32 a.m. a caller reported a suspicious man sitting at a bus stop at the intersection of High Street and Schirmer Way on Friday. The description of the man matched that of another incident. SEE STORY.
At 12: 33 p.m. a parent caller police and reported he/she mistakenly locked a child in a vehicle at the Notre Dame Academy parking lot.
At 1:50 p.m. a caller reported a missing purse in Hingham Square. The caller stated she last left it on the bench near Crossing Main.
At 4:41 p.m. EMTS responded to a woman at the Stop & Shop on Lincoln Street who claimed she was injured in a bus accident.
At 5:16 p.m. police arrested Robert Wallace, age 27 of Milton for operating under the influence of alcohol on Whiting Street near the Marylou’s.
At 6:42 p.m. a caller reported a strong odor of gas near the Hingham Apt Tutoring on North Street.
