South Shore Country Club Brings Outdoor Concerts to Hingham

Livingston Taylor will perform at the County Club on August 26.

This August, the Raffael's and the Greenside Grille at the will feature top musicians Livingston Taylor, as part of their Outdoor Summer Concert Series, "Summer Sounds."

Taylor, brother of the famous James Taylor, picked up his first guitar at the age of 13, beginning a 40 year career that has encompassed performance, songwriting and teaching. Born in Boston and raised in North Carolina, Livingston is the fourth child in a very musical family that includes Alex, James, Kate and Hugh.   According to the South Shore County Club, Livingston recorded his first record at 18 and has continued to create well-crafted, introspective and original songs that have earned him listeners worldwide.

According to SSC, Livingston has toured with major artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Jimmy Buffet and Jethro Tull, and he maintains a busy concert schedule of over 80 shows a year. He is a natural performer, peppering his shows with personal stories, anecdotes and ineffable warmth that connect him to his fans.

Frank Ricci, general manager of the Greenside Grille at the South Shore Country Club said the concerts provide great entertainment for the Country Club's guests.

“We want to bring the very best entertainment, at affordable prices, to the area so our guests can spend the day golfing, enjoy lunch and dinner at Raffael’s, sip a glass of wine.. under the stars all while listening to some great live music,” Ricci said in a statement.

The concerts will be held at the new pavilion overlooking the 18th green  on Friday August 26, at the South Shore Country Club at 8:00 p.m.

The Summer Concert Series will also feature "Five O'clock Shadow" on September 9 and Newton musician Rebecca Parris on September 16

There will be food services provided pre and post show in the restaurant. Doors open at 7:30 for all shows. While seating is general admission (first come, first served), there is VIP reserved seating at an additional cost. For more information please visit: www.raffaels.com
