Storm Could Bring up to 8 Inches Today

The National Weather Service updated its predictions Saturday, increasing the snowfall to between 4 and 8 inches for Plymouth.

The National Weather Service is predicting heavy snow and high winds today in the second snow storm in a week.

The snow began Saturday.

There is the potential for heavy snow along with strong winds across the far Southeast New England coast today. The NWS is predicting between 4 and 8 inches for Hingham.

The initially wet snow combined with strong winds could result in downed tree limbs and a few power outages, according to the NWS. Winds will be between 25 and 35 mph with 50 mph gusts and cause poor visibility and possibly near-whiteout conditions for a time. Untreated roads and walkways will become snow covered.
