Wahlburgers Asks Fans To Create Their Next Burger

is giving their fans the opportunity to create their newest burger.

The popular Hingham Shipyard restaurant has launched a new "Burger of the Month" Facebook contest where fans can submit burger recipes which will be judged by Chef Paul Wahlberg.  

The burgers will then be judged based on their creativity and tastiness of the toppings, types of buns and ingredients.

The Hingham chef will then select the best burger and feature it on the Wahlburgers menu for a month's time period.  The burger will be listed right next to Mark and Donnie Wahlberg’s favorites including the Thanksgiving Burger and the BBQ Bacon burger.

“We look forward to seeing our fans' creativity come alive on our menu," said newly appointed CEO Rick Vanzura.

In addition to a spot on the menu, winners will also receive a Wahlburgers hat and T-shirt signed by Chef Wahlberg. 

Wahlberg and Vanzura said the contest is being launched to reward their thousands of Facebook fans for their loyalty. Since the launch of the Facebook page last year, Wahlburgers has been very popular and has totaled over 17,300 fans. On Twitter they have over 15,000 followers.

“We wanted a new way to engage and give back to our Facebook fans,” Wahlberg said.

This isn't the first contest that the restaurant has held. Last October, the Wahburgers Facebook Page gave fans the chance to enter a contest to attend its grand opening.
