Hingham Library Chosen to Host 'Let's Talk about It: Muslim Journeys'

The Hingham Public Library is one of 125 libraries to receive a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

The Hingham Public Library will host a reading and discussion series called, "Let's Talk about It: Muslim Journeys," through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Hingham is one of 125 libraries selected to host the program, which is also presented in cooperation with the American Library Association.

The series will run from September to December and include five separate Saturday programs. Each session will be 90 minutes.

The series will explore Muslim life through memoirs and fiction.
        
Scholars expected to participate in the series include: Dr. Wilfrid Rollman, Dr. Shahla Haeri, and Dr. Betty Anderson, all faculty members at Boston University; and Celene Ayat Lizzio, doctoral candidate at Brandeis and faculty member at Merrimack College.  
 
Registration is required for the series, and preference will be given to those who can commit to attending all five sessions.
