Arabella String Quartet Holds Free Concert in Hingham

Hingham residents are invited to a free concert on Sunday.

The Arabella String Quartet will be performing works by Haydn, Debussy, and Smetana as part of the Hammond Performing Arts Series in Hingham this weekend.

The quartet, features Julie Eskar, violin, Sarita Kwok, violin, Ettore Causa, viola, and Alexandre Lecarme, cello.

Leaura Levine, Executive Marketing Manager of the Hammond Residential Real Estate said the  four musicians received glowing reviews from The Boston Musical Intelligencer and have performed their debut concert in Boston during the 2011-2012 season.

The free concert is scheduled for February 17 at 3 p.m. at the South Shore Conservatory.

According to Levine, The Hammond Performing Arts Series began in Chestnut Hill 19 years ago as an outlet to provide talented musicians with performance opportunities and to enrich the cultural life of the Hammond-surrounding communities.

The series has since expanded to Boston, Concord, Hingham, Lexington, and Weston.
