Hingham Wins Three Best of Boston Awards

Alma Nove, Hingham Greenery and Tosca were award winners this year.

Boston Magazine recognized several Hingham businesses in their annual, Best of Boston awards issue.

Hingham brought home a total of three Best of Boston awards South of Boston, which is much lower than the nine they won in 2011 and seven they won in 2012.

One restaurant, which is no stranger to winning, was Tosca.  The Downtown Hingham restaurant won best Restaurant, General Excellence for its sixth time in 12 years.  They last won the award in 2011 but were beat out last year by another  Hingham restaurant, Scarlet Oak Tavern.

Paul Wahlberg’s Alma Nove won Best Bar.  This award was given to Union Brewhouse in Weymouth last year but Alma Nove’s creative drink menu was enough to win judges over.  Alma Nove last won a BOB award back in 2011 for Best New Restaurant.

Hingham Greenery was also awarded this year.  They were give Best Florist, defeating their neighbors, Winston Flowers, which won the award the past two years.
