Stone Hearth Pizza Co. was started in August 2005 in Belmont by  longtime friends Christopher Robbins and Jonathan Schwarz.  The two businessmen combined their 30 years of entrepreneurial experience to open an upscale neighborhood dining spot based on their core values of "friendship, good food and family," their website stated.

The restaurant will serve 9-16 inch pizzas, a variety of baked pasta dishes, paninis and pizani’s which is their version of an Italian wrap.  The restaurant is also expected to serve a variety of fine red and white wines and craft beers, according to the menu posted on their Hingham building.

The Wahlbergs were originally scheduled to open a pizza restaurant of their own in the vacant real estate.  They originally planned for it to open in 2012.

Robbins and Schwartz  were not available for comment on Wednesday.
