Stars to Hold Ugly Sweater Party in Hingham

Stars on Hingham Harbor will throw one giant Ugly Sweater Party on Saturday with music, beer and giveaways.

The Hingham restaurant is inviting guest to throw on the gaudiest sweaters they can find and come celebrate the winter season.

Stars General Manager Wes Baltzer said this will be the fourth year the restaurant  is holding an Ugly Sweater Party and it is organized to entertain their guests.

“It’s just fun,” Baltzer said.  “It gives people the opportunity to express themselves and get a little crazy.  No one gets embarrassed because everyone is doing the same thing.”

Baltzer said he has seen very colorful sweaters in the past, some even too bright for the human eye.  This year, he expects even uglier ones.

Saturday’s celebration will begin at 10 p.m. with music from The Smoking Jackets and giveaways from the Longtrail Brewing Company.  The person with the ugliest sweater will also receive ski passes.  Guests after 11 p.m. must be over the age of 21.
