2. South Shore Conservatory (SSC) congratulates piano student Laura Varas and violin student Christopher Rogers-Beadle of Hingham for winning awards in their respective divisions of the Conservatory’s 25th annual Concerto Competition on January 18. 

3. The following local residents have been named to the Dean's List at Clemson University for the fall 2012 semester:

Brian Paul Murphy of Hingham, who is majoring in Communication Studies.

Claire Catharina Van Strien of Hingham, who is majoring in History.

Lauren Ann Dupras of Hingham, who is majoring in Nursing.

4. Jeffrey Blair, a resident of Hingham, MA, has been named to the Fall 2012 Champlain College's Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher and is majoring in Graphic Design & Digital Media

5. There will be a NOOK Demonstration at the Barnes & Noble at the Derby Street Shoppes today at 10 a.m.
