A 79-year-old Hingham woman passed away last week at a nursing home in Kingston. She had been a library volunteer, Travelers Group receptionist and homemaker.
"She attended Stonehill College where she met her husband. When her husband was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska, with the Navy, she boarded a plane and married him a week later in Alaska. They started a family while he was stationed there," according to the Boston Herald.
