UPDATE: As of 3:30 p.m. Beal Street has been reopen. Traffic can now use the road without detours. It was closed for most of the day for tree removal from the storm.
Hingham Police have announced that Beal Street is expected to be closed on Tuesday.
The Hingham Police Department said it will be closed all day at West Street and Fottler Road to allow tree crews to clear and clean up the roadway from Hurricane Sandy. (see map below)
According to Hingham Police Sgt. Steven Dearth, crews will be cleaning up fallen trees and removing broken branches.
Detours are expected to be in place and when the road reopens, residents will be notified.
