Generous Hingham Couple Pays for New Bullet Proof Vests for Police

The Hingham couple have now donated the full costs to pay for seven bullet proofs in the last three years.

A generous Hingham resident arrived at the Hingham Police Station earlier this month with a check to pay for two new bullet proof vests for Hingham officers.

The two future officers who will receive these vests, Mark Bologna and Terrance Low, will graduate from the police academy in New Braintree on February 15.

Hingham Police Sgt. Steven Dearth said  this isn’t the first time Keith Rutherford and his wife Carolyn have donated money to the police department.
