Police Log: Beagle Attacks Jogger, Two Hull Women Arrested For Drugs

The following excerpts are from the Hingham police log from Nov. 5-6. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, November 5:

At 12:44 a.m. a caller reported a man in a tux fled into the woods after entering a Hertz rental vehicle on Tupelo Drive.

At 12:50 p.m. a caller on Volunteer Road reported a rock was thrown through his daughter’s driver’s side window of her parked vehicle.  SEE STORY.

At 5:01 p.m. a caller reported hitting a deer on Towerbrook Road.  The deer fled and the vehicle was damaged.

At 5:53 p.m. a caller reported a hit and run at the stop sign at the Summer Street and Water Street intersection.   The driver fled towards Hull.

Tuesday, November 6:

At 6:52 a.m. a caller reported three vehicles were rummaged through on Crowes Lane but nothing was stolen.

At 8:31 a.m. a caller reported a vehicle was broken into on Hersey Street and $500- $1,000 was stolen from it.  SEE STORY

At 11:01 p.m. a caller reported a  beagle attacked a runner on Hersey Street and ripped the victim’s pants.

At 3:51 p.m. a caller reported a house window was smashed on Accord Pond Drive.

At 4:37 p.m. a caller reported Verizon employees soliciting on Whitcomb Street.

At 11:43 p.m. police arrested Emily Remillard, age 37 of Hull for drug possession of a class E substance and Amy Schmock, age 28 of Hull for illegal possession of a class B substance.  The arrests were made at a traffic stop on Chief Justice Cushing Highway.
