Police Log: Beer Stolen From Vehicle, Multiple OUI Arrests

The following excerpt is from the Hingham police log from Wednesday Nov 21-23. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, November 21:

At 1:10 a.m. police responded to a rollover on Route 3 North.

At 8:54 a.m. a caller on Ringbolt Road reported a case of beer stolen from his vehicle.

At 10:30 a.m. a caller reported a mailbox was burned on Ringbolt Road.

At 11:39 a.m. a caller reported a hit and run accident at the Dunkin Donuts on Whiting Street.

At 6:15 p.m. police arrested Craig Hartnett, age 46 of Hingham for operating under the influence of alcohol.

At 11:23 p.m. police arrested Brian Amonte, age 23 of Hingham for operating under the influence of alcohol and Anthony Fiore of Weymouth for disorderly conduct at the intersection of Burditt Avenue and Lincoln Street.

Thursday, November 22:

At 6:06 p.m. a caller reported a suspicious teenage boy , wearing dark clothes, walking in the middle of the road and not moving for traffic near the Hingham Rotary.  The caller reported the man was walking towards Hull.

Friday, November 23:

At 3:45 a.m. a caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle in the South School parking lot.

At 1:18 p.m. a Barnes & Noble employee reported someone tried to steal her vehicle’s headlights in the Derby Street Shoppes parking area.

At 8:18 p.m. police arrested a 52-year-old Quincy man for driving with a suspended license.

At 9:42 a caller reported that youths tried breaking into a shed on Ward Street.

At 11:45 p.m. police arrested Michael Donovan, age 59 of Marshfield for operating under the influence of alcohol (second offense).  The arrest was made by the Hingham Stop & Shop.
