Police Log: Dog Attacks Elderly Woman, Hingham Resident Arrested For Shoplifting

The following excerpt is from the Hingham police log from Tuesday, January 15. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, January 15:

At 7:40 a.m. a caller on Beal Street reported an elderly woman was attacked by a husky dog behind the Talbots.

At 10:31 a.m. a caller reported a loose horse on Pleasant Street.

At 1:11 p.m. a caller reported an attempted house break in on Beal Street.  The caller reported a rock was thrown through the home’s window.

At 2:54 p.m. the president of the Hingham Lions Club reported a phone scam.  The caller stated that someone called a Scituate home and identified themselves as the Hingham Lions Club and tried to solicit money.

At 7:50 p.m. police arrested a 25-year-old Scituate woman for driving with a suspended license at the intersection of Elm and Emerald Street.

At 10:13 p.m. police arrested Tara Daniels, 25 of Hingham on warrant charges for shoplifting.  The arrest was made on Lincoln Street.
