Police Log: Horses Run Wild on Cushing Street, Squirrel Trapped in Hingham Daycare

The following are excerpts from the Hingham Police log from September 26-27. The arrest information was supplied by the Hingham Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Sept. 26:

At  3:22 a.m. police arrested Alicia-Rose Velazquez, 25 of Rockland for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license.   The arrest was made after a traffic stop at the intersection of Farm Hills Lane and Whiting Street.  The incident was the second time she has been arrested for OUI of alcohol.

At 6:58 a.m.  police arrested  Anthony Maggiore, age 56 of Farm Hills Lane, Hingham for assault and battery.

At 11:39 a.m.  a driver reported two horses loose at the  Ward Street and Cushing Street intersection. The owner was present and was trying to secure the animals.

At 1:08 p.m. a caller on the 200 block of High Street reported a home break. SEE STORY.

At 1:59  p.m. an Apple Store employee at Derby Street Shoppes reported that he was a victim of credit card fraud.  He stated that he was the second store employee to be victimized by the fraud charges.

At 3:17 p.m. a resident in the 900 block of Main Street reported  his home was broken into. SEE STORY.

Thursday, Sept. 27:

At 8:14 a.m. a caller reported a three-car accident on the 200 block of Whiting Street.

At 9:44 a.m. a caller at the Sand Castles Child Care Center on East street reported a squirrel trapped in an upstairs room.

At 1:31 p.m.  police arrested Joseph Kerrissey, age 35, of Plymouth for Class B drug possession.  The man was arrested after being pulled over on Lincoln Street.  He was also charged with driving without an inspection sticker.

At 5:18 p.m. a caller reported a male fell on his bicycle and may need medical attention, in the area of Chief Justice Cushing Highway and East Street.
