Police Log: Lost Cyclists, OUI Arrests, Vehicle on Fire

The following excerpts are from the Hingham police log from July 19-21. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, July 19:

At 12:55 a.m. a caller reported a flooded basement on Tuckers Lane.

At 1:18 p.m. a caller reported a large water leak on Carlson Field.

At 2:13 p.m. a caller reported a mulch fire in front of the Old Navy on Shipyard Drive.

At 3:45 p.m. a caller reported the traffic lights were out at Queen Anne’s Corner.

At 4:26 p.m. a caller reported a power outage on Merrill Street.

At 5:22 p.m. a caller reported a van attached to a tow truck was engulfed in flames at the boat ramp on Otis Street.

At 5:24 p.m. a caller reported a home break-in on Charles Street.

At 6:37 p.m. a caller reported a power outage on Pleasant Street.

At 7:44 p.m. a caller reported finding a backpack full of beer on his front lawn on Maryknoll Drive.

At 7:54 p.m. police arrested Paul Dillon, 45 of 131 Downer Avenue, Hingham for violating his probation.  Dillon left his home while he was under house arrest with a GPS monitoring bracelet. He was arrested back in April for operating under the influence of alcohol for a sixth time.  Earlier on Friday, a caller at his residence reported her son was drunk and had left the home while wearing the tracking bracelet. 

Saturday, July 20:

At 8:30 a.m. a caller reported finding a large knife in the Tedeschi’s parking lot on Lincoln Street.

At 1:59 p.m. police arrested Robert Flannery, age 37 of Weymouth for operating under the influence of drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and not having a license in his possession.  The arrest was made on Cushing Street.

At 11:29 p.m. police arrested Kyle Petrucci, 23 of 4 Windson Drive, Hingham for operating under the influence of alcohol for a second time.  The arrest was made on Summer Street after Petrucci was stopped for speeding. 

Sunday, July 21:

At 1:56 a.m. police arrested Jonathan Robinson, 22, of Milton for operating under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of Academy Lane and Burditt Avenue.

At 2:44 a.m. police arrested Kevin Wholey, 24 of Hull for malicious or wanton damage or defacement.  Wholey was arrested after an officer reported his vehicle was struck by an object thrown by the suspect on Broad Cove Road.

At 6:33 a.m. a caller reported a mulch fire at the Hingham Cemetery.

At 4:46 p.m. a caller reported a vehicle hit a small dog on the 500 block of Main Street.

At 4:51 p.m. two cyclists reported that they were lost in Bare Cove Park.
