Police Log: Microwave Fire, Yellow Lab Found

The following excerpts are from the Hingham police log. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Dec. 26:

At 4:20 p.m., police and fire responded to 201-301 Linden Ponds Way for a report of a possible microwave fire. The fire was out when they arrived and the unit was filled with smoke and extinguisher material. The microwave was removed.

At 5:24 p.m., police responded to a minor accident at 33 East St. involving a van and a dump truck. No injuries.

At 5:30 p.m., a caller at 56 Hersey St. reported that they found a yellow female lab mix with a pink collar. The caller kept the dog Wednesday night so the owner could call a number left with the police department.

At 6:40 p.m., police responded to a minor accident at 549 Main St. involving two cars. Airbags deployed but no injuries.
