Police Log: Trailer Broken Into, Hingham Teen Arrested, Gas Station Hit By Car

The following excerpts are from the Hingham police log from January 10-11. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, January 10:

At 6:48 a.m. a caller reported his work trailer was broken into overnight on Shipyard Drive.

At 9:11 a.m. a caller reported a black lab with a red collar was struck by a motor vehicle and then ran away near the Derby Street Shoppes.

At 11:06 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle struck a door and window at the BP Gas Station on Whiting Street.

At 11:23 a.m. a caller reported a stolen cell phone at Hingham High School.

At 5:13 p.m. a caller reported she hit a deer on the 900 block of Main Street but the deer ran off.

At 9:07 p.m. police arrested Geoffrey McCullough, 19, of Hingham for operating under the influence of alcohol on Union Street.  The arrest was made after a caller reported McCullough drove his red pickup over wires at Hingham High School, almost hit two vehicles, and then drove on the sidewalk with a flat tire. 

Friday, January 11:

At 7:10 a.m. a caller reported vandalism on the 600 block of Main Street.

At 8:09 a.m. a caller on School Street reported a vehicle drove through Powers Field and caused damage to the ground.

At 1:19 p.m. a caller reported the commuter rail stop lights never flashed before the train passed the Fort Hill Street and South Street intersection.  The caller did report the gate was operating.

At 1:41 p.m. police arrested a 27-year-old Weymouth man for driving with a suspended license.

At 8:56 p.m. a caller reported kids were smoking marijuana in a motor vehicle in the Patriot Cinemas parking lot.
