After learning of the a resident has provided information about possible suspects to Hingham Police.
Police say the resident reported seeing two men on a motorcycle turn around in a driveway on a side street off Main Street, near one of the house break incidents. Just an hour later, the residents observed the same motorcycle pulled over on the side of Grenadier Road, facing Main Steet, with just the driver on it, police said.
The witness described the biker as having his head down and said he may have been pretending to read something and the passenger was not visible, police said.
It also appeared suspicious that a sweatshirt covered up the license plate on the motorcycle. The driver was described as having dark hair with a dark complexion, wearing a navy blue Patriots sweatshirt and a dark helmet. He was riding a smaller sized motorcycle.
Police said the area and timeframe do fit with the Main St. housebreak. There was also a break which occurred the same day on High Street. Prescription drugs and jewelry were reported items stolen from the homes.
“The two males on are not suspects, but considered persons of interest in the investigation,” police said in a written news alert to residents. “It is entirely possible they were not connected to a house break and actions were not criminal in nature. If you have any information about who they are or what they were doing please contact Hingham Detectives.”
Anyone with information should contact the Hingham Police Department.
