State Police Air Wing Rescue Teens From Hingham Swamp

Three Norwell teens were pulled out of a wooded swamp area of the Wompatuck State Park that was chest-high with water.

Three 14-year-old Norwell boys were rescued from a frigid swamp in Wompatuck State Park Tuesday night after they went missing.

The search began after one of the boys’ parents reported them missing around 7 p.m., according to Boston.com.

The Boston Globe reported that the Norwell Police called in Hingham and Scituate K9 Units along with the State Police Air Wing to locate the teens.

The teen boys were at least 150 yards into wooded swamp area of the Wompatuck State Park that was chest-high with water, and thick brush.  They were rescued by the State Police Air Wing and transported to the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth more than six hours after leaving for their walk.
