Hingham Harbor Bridge Could Be Up By Next Year

A new bridge connecting Whitney Wharf to Red Eye Roasters is in the works.

A new pedestrian bridge connecting Whitney Wharf to the back of Red Eye Roasters could be built within the next year. 

Negotiations between the town and waterfront property owner Nick Bonn to build the $275,000 bridge are picking up speed, according to Boston.com.

Town Administrator Ted Alexiades told the Globe that the bridge could be built by next summer.

The sea-crossing bridge would create a harbor walk way along Hingham’s and would be part of  the extensive plans to update the harbor area.
