School Committee Welcomes Potential Candidates

Members of the current School Committee will be present to answer questions about their own experiences.

The School Committee invites interested individuals to an informal “Coffee and Conversation” event for potential School Committee candidates for the upcoming Town Election.

The date is Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 4-5  p.m. in the School Department Conference Room (220 Central Street, third floor).

Members of the current School Committee will be present to answer questions about their own experiences and to discuss with potential candidates: the role of a School Committee member, typical time commitments and expectations, and pending school issues.  As well, printed information about the role and responsibilities of a School Committee member in Massachusetts will be available.
