Selectmen Chair Bruce Rabuffo to Retire

The Hingham official said in a note that it has been a "challenging but rewarding six years."

Chair of the Board of Selectmen Bruce Rabuffo has announced that he will retire at the end of his current term of office.

In a letter sent out Monday afternoon, Rabuffo said that he is proud of all he has helped Hingham accomplish over the last six years but that it is time for him to step aside.

Rabuffo, born and raised in Brooklyn, moved to Hingham in 1995. He attended Georgetown University, worked on Capitol Hill, earned an MBA from Pace University and worked for the NYNEX Corporation, retiring in 1997.

Before joining the Board of Selectmen, Rabuffo was an alternate member on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
