January Hingham Home Sales Slightly Declines From 2012-13
Bay State January home sales at highest level In five years.
Single-family home sales in Massachusetts rose more than 10 percent in January, according to the Warren Group.
Sales in Massachusetts reached 2,680 the highest level since 2007, according to new data from The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman. January home sales in the Bay State were up over last year's 2,436 sales.
This is the highest January sales volume for single-family homes in Massachusetts in five years, when there were 2,953 transactions in January 2007.

In Hingham, the number of home sales has slightly dipped. Just 11 homes sold in January 2013 compared with 12 in Jan. 2012. The median sale price for the first month of the year also dipped from $ 671,500 in 2012 to 615,000 in 2013.
