Hingham Field Hockey Star for Bowdoin Named All-American

This the fourth time Bowdoin has won the DIII Field Hockey National Championship in the last seven years.

Katie Riley, a co-captain of the Bowdoin College field hockey team, recently helped lead her squad to its fourth NCAA Division III title and was recognized with two teammates as a Second Team All-American selection.

"The offensive trio led Bowdoin to an NCAA title, the second leading scoring margin, 3.23, in the country and fifth best 4.27 goals per game scoring average," according to a Bowdoin press release.

"Riley's 59 points led the NESCAC and rank third in a single-season in Bowdoin history. Her 17 assists lead the conference and tie second all-time for assists in a year by a Polar Bear. Riley ends her Bowdoin career with 46 goals (fifth all-time) and 35 assists (fourth all-time) for 127 points ranking second behind McNamara as the all-time leader."
