The Derby Street Shoppes will be hosting dog sledding at Hidden Pond for its second consecutive year this weekend.

Customers can enjoy a snowy ride along the pond’s trail this Saturday, Jan. 11 and Sunday, Jan. 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for children.

The dog sledding will once again be run by Northern Exposure Outfitters, a family-operated mushing group out of Brookfield, MA. The rides are strongly recommended for children only, ages 4 years and older. Children under 4 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

“We’re happy to have the opportunity to host dog sledding at Hidden Pond again,” said Niamh O’Maille, Marketing Manager for the Derby Street Shoppes. “Our customers really enjoyed this event last year, and we think this will be a great way for them to get out of the house since last weekend’s snow storm. We’re hoping to host dog sledding during the month of February as well.”

During the winter season, Hidden Pond is also home to ice skating, pending the weather. The pond is located behind Whole Foods Market.
