Wahlburgers Grand Opening Gives Fans a Chance to Meet Mark and Donnie

Wahlburgers announced Monday that they will officially open next Tuesday, Oct. 25 and will hold a private grand opening party on Monday, Oct. 24.

Wahlburgers owners  Chef Paul Wahlberg along with celebrity brothers Mark and Donnie will be present at the private Grand Opening Party of their restaurant on Monday at 7:00 p.m. and have organized a public raffle giving fans a chance to be there too.

Winners of the raffle, along with a guest, will be invited to attend the private Grand Opening Party and will also get the chance to meet Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, receive a $1,000 travel allowance (if needed), and will be awarded a cash prize in the amount of $514.30 to mitigate the Winner's tax liability that results from winning the raffle.  

Raffle tickets are $2 each and requires a minimum purchase of five tickets.  They can be purchased  at www.celebritiesforcharity.org.  All proceeds will benefit the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, which provides financial and community support to assist in making the dreams and ultimate potential of inner city youth become a reality.

The raffle entry deadline is 2:00  p.m.  on Friday, and the drawing date will be later that afternoon.

On Whalburger’s Facebook Page yesterday, the restaurant also posted a note to their fans reading, “ Hey fans - We know you've been anxiously awaiting when you'll be able to sink your teeth into our juicy burgers and the time has come! We will be officially open to the public on Tuesday, Oct. 25.”

The restaurant posted a note on their door this week that stated that training session for employees are currently in progress and the restaurant will open next week.

Wahlburgers will be a casual burger restaurant brought to you by founders, Executive Chef  Wahlberg, brothers Mark and Donnie   and family friend and business partner, Ed St. Croix. It will be located directly across the street from and and seconds from the at the Hingham Shipyard.

The restaurant plans to serve lunch, dinner and drinks.  They will welcome walk-in service, take out, waiter service, and outdoor seating.

Wahlburgers is expected to serve all natural beef burgers, all natural beef hot dogs, crispy fries, and frappes.  Earlier this month , Wahlburger employees said the restaurant will serve sweet potato tater tots. Wahlburgers Facebook Page, said it will adding some boozy adult frappes to the menu along with a secret sauce for burgers.

The restaurant has already gained National attention.  It already has over 3,300 "Likes" on its Facebook page from fans from all over the United States. During the summer, the Boston Globe reported that the Hingham

One fan from Florida commented on the Hingham business's Facebook page stating that she has purchased 100 raffle tickets on Monday.  "I bought 100 tickets!! Praying I win!! I've ALWAYS wanted to meet Mark!! It'll be a dream come true!!," she wrote.

Another fan from Los Angeles posted, "Living in LA......I DEFINITELY have a reason to visit the New England area!!!!!"
