Hingham Police Investigating Diamond Ring Theft

Hingham Police Sgt. Steven Dearth said the alleged thief was believed to have escaped in a blue minivan or hatchback type vehicle.

Hingham Police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly stole a diamond ring from the Kohl’s Department Store over the weekend.

Just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday, a customer asked a store employee if he could look at a diamond ring.  When she brought out the jewelery, the man grabbed it and ran off with it, according to the police log.  The man is described as having blonde hair and was wearing a red polo shirt and a black baseball cap.

Hingham Police Sgt. Steven Dearth said the man was believed to have escaped in a blue minivan or hatchback type vehicle.  No license plate was identified.
